I was very fortunate for the 49 years and 2 months i had my wife.
But then, so was she, and she knew it.

If I were to ever get a scene like that, THAT'S a going to the train station to be sent back to Moma moment.
What I pay for fishing equipment is on a need to know basis, and she don't need to know. Even if it does exceed the GDP of a small 3rd World country.

Is that a new fishing pole? Are you going to sell the old one?

And then I find some and build some and fix some and ……..let’s face it, I’ve got it bad. Thank God that my wife doesn’t get crazy on me or I’d never hear a civil word!

I heard somebody say one time somebody might get one heck of a deal if something ever happened to him. Especially if his wife sold all his stuff for what he told her he paid for it! Lol

Mine knows to consult the internet for fair market prices in the event of my demise. For inflation purposes
