    Default Looking For A Place

Flying into Punta Gorda on 1/23/23 from Kentucky to look for a place to buy near Okeechobee, Avon Park, Sebring, Lake Whales and points between. Not interested in HOA fees or 55 communities. Singlewide is fine. But want to own it all. Lot needs to be big enough to build 2 6x12 dog kennels cause when we come the birddogs are coming too. Parking for boat and 2 vehicles. Being on canal would be great but might not be able to afford this type of property. Anyone that knows of something to look at can send me a PM. Renting a car so we will be mobile.

Thanks in advance for any information.

I would look around tiger lake in Polk county. I am from Kentucky and fish tiger and Kissimmee. There is land for sale . But being on the water is going to cost some major cash. I would look being 1 to 2 miles away and save some money.

Good luck, let us know if you're successful. Maybe call some realtors in those areas and see if there's someone you click with.

Realize that there is a big influx or people moving to Florida at this point for numerous reasons.
As a result it has become a sellers market for real estate.
I would consider renting a home at least temporarily, which would give you the time you need to look.
I would also be considering expanding your target area, and the additional time would permit that.

Bought a place in Sebring FL. Wife liked the property. Own the house and land. No HOA fees. Will take possession probably in April as current owner wants to finish the winter season out. Lake Jackson is at my back door but have no clue as to crappie, bluegill or shellcracker population. Looks to be quite shallow. Found only one ramp for the lake.

Congrats! Lake Jackson looks like it might be a good fishing lake. Lots of other lakes not too far either.

Congrats, sounds like a fine lake. Should have crappie. Internet said it 25 ft deep at it's deepest. That'll work.

I used to live in Sebring and there is lots of good fishing in the whole area. Congratulations on finding some property.
