    Default Thanks Giving Morning

Finally !!!! Some action on the Big O. Back in time with a limit and still had time to drop the turkey in the deep fryer. Attachment 442372Name: 20221124_091307.jpg

I didn't weight the fish. I was using slab sauce. I suspect the fish was around 2 lbs. Thats not uncommon on Okeechobee but man does it get my blood pumping when I'm trying to jerk one like that out of the weeds. I've felt bad for a lot of the guys on the St Johns where that's their home grounds but it will come around when the water recedes.

Wow you caught a monster speck. I would send that beast to the taxidermist! Tight Lines.

REAL NICE fish! And man, that one is a freaking monster!!!

Any advice to share for finding them on Okeechobee? I'm headed down there in a couple weeks to fish for about 5 days or so.

Last I heard was little grassy was hot. The temp has jumped up some. The mouth of the river has night guys fishing. I have not been out at night yet this season.
