    Default I got out yesterday

It has been awhile since I have been out. So I thought that I would do a little hunting to see if I could find something to take my lures.

It started slow. I think that the high temps have sent the fish into hiding. But it felt good to get back on the water.

I went to all my old spots to see if anyone was there. Nope ! nada !

I hit some new areas that looked good. Nope, nada.

So I switched things up. different rods, different lures, different areas. Still nothing.

I pulled the trolling motor and fired up the big motor, kicked it into low (about 3mph) set up the side scan and went on the hunt.

As I was passing an area I saw something different on the screen, I made another pass and marked it. checked out the rest of the area, nothing. I went back over the mark on the gps and a rod goes off.

I started to run around in circles. The rods jumped a few more times.
    Then all is quiet.

By then it was getting hot anyways, time to go in.
8 fish for the day. 1 striper and 7 gills.

    until next time,

    tight line and full nets

    see you on the water.

    Jim

another good day at the office !

Glad you got out. Those gills can really pull your string. Been a while since I plated some gills. I have been waiting on engine parts for weeks. They are promised for next week. Woo Hoo. Hope to see ya on the water real soon. Tight Lines.

    WTG Jim, hello to Paula.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
