Dunns Creek can have a very swift current, look for slow water. Different places depending on of its incoming or outgoing tide too. My canal connects to Dunns.. The current there can make it hard to fish. Get in the pads( when they're there). Check the canal entrances for eddies and drops that hold fish.

River flow isn’t too strong down my way so it may be a bit better right now. I found a few yesterday.

I mines to the Palatka area in Nov 2021. Haven't gotten my boat in the water yet, due to work and trying to find a permanent place to live.
I want to learn to Flounder fish, Red fish and where to find my favorite, crappie/specks.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated and welcome.
I have a 16 Tri-hull with a 70hp Johnson. Set up to longline off the back and sides. Just put a deck up front and still have to get it rigged up to spider rig.
Not wanting anyone's fishing spots but would like to know some areas to start looking for the fishes.

Where to start looking and techniques for Flounder, Sea Trout, and Reds?

Where to start looking and some techniques use in Fl for Specks?

    Thank you in advance.

Current work schedule is 8 days on and 6 days off.

    Tight lines everyone,

    Neil

I suggest you contact Travis if you want to fish the salty fish. You can reach him on C.C with a post to him.

If I'm saltwater fishing this time a year it's at night with a cast net or 60 miles offshore. I usually speck fish till they spawn around Jan/ Feb then take a couple weeks doing maintenance and transition to my saltwater setup. March/April is a good time to start saltwater fishing inshore with the water temp coming back up into the 70's is the best time of year to learn how to catch em cause they hungry. Send a message around then and we'll go make Doug jealous Dunns creek
