Nice flounder and specks
The early/short-trip started out cold/damp/brisk Easterly-wind with rapidly falling tide but I wanted to try some low-traffic, weekday casting after dropping in a couple Pots for some ChrisTaceans because that's what you can do in FLORIDA!! Realistically, I only had about 3 1/2 hours for light-tackle spinning rigors, so I had high-percentage areas in mind. First-cast yielded the tell-tale heavy(non-aggressive) take/fight that confirmed my FLOUNDER prediction! Nice 16" FLATTIE took the 1st ice-bath assignee. Throwback trout were fun but not worth braving the harsh conditions, so I motored on with time dwindling. My next/last stop was JACKPOT! Ten fish on ten casts! First was a nice 3 lb. Bluefish that gained its freedom on His side of the net! But the trout were eating like they were @the LAST SUPPER!! and for my five-fish limit{one 21" trophy}...It was!
Headed slowly back to ramp with negative ebb-tide.
Thanks for ridin'/readin'/reelin' 'til next time Merry Christmas!
