    Default Chilly start

This morning, but not without its rewards. Everything smooth from the start with one exception. I forgot to put the millennium seats in the boat. The plus to that was that they wouldn’t get in the way today. Had we been out for a long day I would have gone the few minutes home and gotten them. It worked out just fine. This was a sunrise that we both enjoyed and commented on.Name: 4E7731ED-75CB-4CDF-A7C5-63BDD56DF5D6.jpg

We ran out a little ways and set up before the color was gone from the sky. With all the fronts moving around recently I didn’t expect much but the 51* start and low winds just couldn’t be left unexplored. It wasn’t long til a rod bent, then another. I think one fish went in the box. Slimjim said he wanted no fish so we didn’t plan on filling the cooler but I was going to keep a few. The app on my phone said the fish activity was 25 out of 100. We talked of this and I told Jim that I had blown that theory up several times and not to take it to heart. We did just that, blew that theory out of the water. Now it wasn’t stellar but we did well and enjoyed each other’s company. Once I started the TM I never turned it off for over four hours til we were ready for the house. I’m sure that we boated between 20 and 25 and had five in the box with real shoulders, and that’s not counting the convict fish that got an early release. A couple of those losses were disappointing, real nice fish. The bite slowed way down and we were ready, it was around 11 o’clock. The wind was about 3 to 5 early, then got a little stiffer, then went flat calm, then picked back up again. It just couldn’t make up its mind. The ride home was much less sporty than last time he and I were out when the wind was 15 gusting 25.

Now for what I enjoyed more than the entire trip. I made a phone call to a guy I work with to see if he wanted these fish, but he was out of town. So I tried to think of who might enjoy these few fish, and one name came to mind. Someone who can’t go get his own here lately. I made the call and he said sure, he’d be over in a while. Wasn’t long til Chucker and his wife were in my driveway with Chuck behind the wheel. Thank you Lord for his improvement. He still isn’t double tough but he’s better than he’s been in a while and improving. We talked a few minutes and parted ways with me knowing how much he would enjoy dinner. I got a good feeling inside and went inside to think about a nap. Thank You Jim for going with me and Thank You Chuck for taking those fish home. It did me as much good as they will you.

Thanks for taking this ride with us today, I’ve surely enjoyed it. If you see me out and about, raise a hand and say hello. It will be good to see you. Til then……Skeet.

Thanks, Tim for the fish. I really enjoyed the visit, it did me good to get out of the house. I have plans for those fish this weekend.
My son from California will be here, alone with my Daughter and granddaughter. we will have a feast.
