I don’t have a lot of pics but I’ll post what I have. I will tell of a great event in spite of cool, windy conditions. Several folks fished with mixed results. Or should I say that several folks braved the 15+ mph winds. My flat bottomed boats stayed in their berths and I helped a little with set up and stuff. Mr and Mrs Slimjim had everything done up right as is their habit and there was plenty of food and drinks and desserts for all interested. Chucker and his family were there, good to see you out and about and we’re all praying for good results in Monday’s procedure. Up2Specks and Larry took care of cooking a diverse menu of Crappie, flounder, fish cakes and hush puppies, and it was all very good. Taterlicious supplied the lions share of fillets and Slimjim supplied others with the help of Speck Detector who unfortunately had work obligations to fulfill. Billbob was there getting his duties attended to by making sure all the ladies received a proper welcome. Also good to see Anchorman made the event, glad you’re feeling better Vic. Slab himself made sure that we’re all the best dressed with the Crappie.com shirts that we’ll remember the event by. There was also many new faces and a walk up from a local crappie fishing shop owner. I believe his name was Randy and a nicer, more generous guy you wouldn’t want to meet. A warm CDC welcome to all who joined us for the first time, and please come back and don’t be a stranger. You all fit right in. Near 30 folks attended and the overall vibe of the day was happy and positive despite the cool temps and wind. I know there’s much more to tell that I’m not saying but this is what came to mind first and I’m sure others will chime in and straighten me out. If you were there, it was good to see you. If you weren’t there, we missed you and hope to see you soon.Name: 225CFBB9-A3BE-45B2-BD30-AD0C256D1DD4.jpg

Don't know about "guest celebrity" Chef...I did hear WhenzitGonnaBeReadi Chef! Folks even had Flounder & Crappie etc. to go! Thanks to Travis, Jeff, Jim! Even witnessed a few self-appointed Taste-testers(overheard Slab mention Rank has it's privileges!)

Nice gathering On-shore that offset the gathering White Caps Off shore!

Talk about some great food. If I ever miss another Slab Fest, somebody please shoot me!!! Hats off to Doug and company for some tasty fish. Not sure if he slipped me a puffer or some rattlesnake but it all went down real good!

So glad to see such a great turnout--and Billbob made it in his famous helmet! Those ho know me, know that i was itching to come even drive only over, but the weather was tricky and i need to not have any colds right now so i stayed hime and thought about everyone having a good time.Im hoping after my test at Mayo on Nov 18, ghey can give me something to help me get my strength back and resolve my malabsorption issue which is helping to keep me week. If i have to tie myself to the boat seat. im fishing next warm up. And Bill bob you and Slab stop over one afternoon. mornings ill never see you. lol
