    they were not at home when I went by to check on them. So I went back to playing with the crappies.

    Actually Jim, I was referring to maybe a "more-preferred" rod position(front/middle/back ~closest/mid/furthest). Your generous posts are stirring-up the hornets(aka-waiters..."crappie don't bite 'til the water cools down"),lol

    I had a slow start Thursday didn’t start catching any numbers till almost 11. How did the gar treat you. I started just breaking them off before they cause to much of a mess. It was gar city Thursday for me.
    Like your bobber set up. Gives you something to watch besides your rod tips.

    The gar ran back and off to the side, giving us time to to clear some rods. Fun to play with. I still need to do some fine tuning on the bobbers, but they are working well for me. Hope to see you out there.
