Absolutely sorry I missed this event! My partner and I got there early with the anticipation of seeing many boats representing CDC.
Fished till the presence of lightening rained on my parade. I fear Aluminum boats and lightening are not a good mix! Saw Skeet as I was preparing to leave to find out the main slab event would be somewhat later. I should've read the fine print(LOL)
My loss not being there to enjoy all of your good company!!
    Heres to next time!! BLSD

Was the best way I can think of to cap off a extremely blessed week fishing. Had a guest (family) down on vacation & my son (who rarely fishes these days w/self) able to attend this event. With the weather forecast, we decided to fish the river in areas I've never been & wish we wouldn't have been run off by the lightening, but still managed to boat a few jigging the bridge. Congrad's to Up2 for the big fish & in the manner I know he much preferred (aka thump city)...Thanks to all that provided side dishes, prizes Slab & Skeetbum's connection w/Bitter's Baitaka Deep Fry & Co., & last but, certainly not least Slim Jim for hosting event & coordinating the raffle, along w/all the other bits & pieces it takes to pull off another successful Slabfest. Wish some of the others w/ health issues could of attended.... Was great seeing X-racer & talking w/him a spell, but wish I had know you guys couldn't enjoy the eat's as well as Bear lake & his fishing partner...Tight lines to all till the next go around & be stay safe over the summer!! P.S. my Son thought he got the best prize winning the $$$, but I defer to agree, being able to possess a priceless signed BillBob Koozie, Thanks Slab
