    Very good info. Thank you. I would use it exactly how you are describing (anchored). I am still new to the crappie game and am looking forward to figuring a system out that I don’t need to drill into my flats boat and can be easily removed.

    Give some consideration to trolling out the back of the boat also, ( long lining ).
    But not necessarily very long, using jigs and curly tails.
    Assuming you have in deck rod holders, or a poling platform, it would be an easier solution for mounting the rod holders.
    Also one favored over spider rigging by many crappie fishermen.
