WOW !! You have been through a lot. Hopefully the worst is behind you now. Heres to a speedy recovery. Thoughts and prayers are going your way.
Just wanted to say hello to all my C.C friends. I have not been out on the water since December 2_3_20. Wh.en I came down to Florida this past year I had a lower back problem that two trips to the doctor wouldn't help. The fishing was great but I just couldn't handle the pain. I decided to go home and get checked out by my PCP and he sent me to an surgen. After several test and x-rays, blood work I was told I had bone growth I my bottom lumbar discs that was losing up the tunnel where the nerve went through. Was told it was an easy clean up and I would be in the hospital over night. Well after 5 surgeries and 35 days of not knowing if I was going to make it , I'm finally getting to go home tomorrow. A week ago I didn't think I'd make another day. 32 straight days flat on my back, no sitting up to eat . Spinal fluid leaks really keep me down. Although I'll be getting home tomorrow, there will not be any fishing I my future for about 5/6 months. Just in time to come back to Florida and catch some big slabs. I'm not writing this looking for smpathy, I just want you all to know how much C.C has ment to me over the years.
I wish you all a happy and healthy spring and summer. Tight lines and good lord willing, I'll see you in the fall.
Anchor Man, Vic

Wow Vic, I feel terrible for you, but am glad you're through the rough part and are finally getting home. That's some terrible stuff you went through. Stay strong, get healthy quick to catch more monster slabs. They'll be here waiting for you.

I’ve been waiting to hear about your recovery, I had no idea that you were having such a hard time. Glad to hear the bad is behind and I’m praying it stays that way. Heal fast and sure, I’ll be looking for you to come back down this fall.

What time is it? IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!
nothing worse than thinking you were in for quick fix and then home and to have THAT happen to you for way too long. Hopefully the finally got the fix in and your back to fishing soon.
Had similar deal where was going in for rotorooter in end of may and home that afternoon and ended up with quad bypasses and 6 nights in ICU and having to talk my way out of there with no visitors. Glad your going home finally and no more nurses and being in hospital!!! GFY
Maybe by next fall both of us will be well enough to go single polling together like we planned this year. You’ll do much better at home. At least you will get a full nights sleep without getting poked or prodded every hour. Praying for you Vic.
