1st rereading your original question & my response, about 6 were female & 3 had row, but not busting @ belly/noticable or would released.....as far as the "hot" spot, it was within yelling distance from last yr....lol.... don't know if you remember telling a story to me & my son many Slabfest ago, about catching fish in a hole @ the end of a dock & you exclaimed "they were right there", well kinda like that I guess.....funny thing when I bring up upcoming Slabfests, my son often jokes of that story....

Super nice catch!
Yeah, they sure like to congregate in the sunny exposed shallows when it's that cold.
Here in Central Florida, it's just weird atm. It's cold for a few days, then warm for a few more. I've caught a few stragglers, but for the most part I think they're dispersing more than they're congregating. Hard to tell. I'll keep at em though.

Love the report. Think I need to get back to the basics instead of trying to do everything I read on here.

always enjoy threads like this and you relearn things your already know and havn't done in a while! when it's spawning time fish move in and out and others are bunched just offshore and you have to do different things to see if anyone is home at that moment. WTG SD.
