Default They were Chewing Good this morning

The wind was surprisingly calm most of the morning & it got down right hot by noon. Can't believe the surface water temp. got to 76F, when it was around 60F less than 2 weeks ago. Caught a ton of next yrs fish/throwback 10"ers & had (3) double fish on same pole, to get an idea of how hot the action/bite was this morning. The only bummer was my old friend Nelson was suppose to learn long-line trolling for the 1st time, but his wife became ill & he had to cancel. Hopefully, a sequel with the same theme will develop when he can go next time. Blue/pearl tripletail grub seen the most action, however, all 10 poles caught fish, roadrunners, jigs, & beetle spins. 4ft-6ft depth held most fish, & caught a alligator bathing on the bank, out from the bushes. Sure had a lot of fun , but those fish plum wore me OUT!!

The water has warmed. Last year we had a warm January and a frigid February. This year the opposite. Maybe we will see an early Spring.

So how do I make my approach to the wife regarding having her clean the fish while I nap ?
Maybe they will bite this one……
