Astor Last Week
My oldest son and me flew down for a few days last week. Fished with dad on the river a couple mornings. We were drifting with minnows and caught 11 keepers the first morning and 15 the next. Lots of throwbacks too both days and one 2# 4oz slab that got released to spawn. It was so nice to leave the ice and snow up north and enjoy a couple 80 degree days! The video is from the first morning and we had turkeys gobbling on both sides of the river.

We like the Florida crappie just as much as the ones back home with the exception of the really big ones. Been throwing the 2# plus fish back for several years. We don’t think they taste as good as the smaller ones sometimes and also hope they turn into a 3 pounder!Originally Posted by slowhand
