Some good fish came to weigh in, and the 3.02 was a pig. Note to self, don’t wear shorts to weigh in. Just cool enough with a little wind and no sun. Good to see you boss.

Good tournament, forgot all about it this time of yr, thanks for sharing Slab...was calm for the most part, curious if the 3#ers were taken tight-lining, as most of those guys like to do???

I am fishing out of Highland fish camp right up the road, Saturday after final weight in, I chatted with a couple of the tourney guys, I didnt catch there names but I think they were the 2 black guys that finished 5th or 6th. Anyway Ive been struggling the past week and was looking for advise.
They said all the big fish were caught longlining in shallow water, like 3fow. this is one method I hadnt tryed, this is our 3rd year fishing out of Deland and have had so so results jigging pads and spider rigging, so I set up for long lining yesterday and did better in size and quanity, so I will now add the longlining method to my arsenal.
Thanks up2specks thanked you for this post
