Thread: Trying to understand Crappie movements

I have heard that a cold front will send them deep and give them lock jaw. also clear skies will send them deeper. better on an overcast sky.

These cold nights might have some effect, and we’re in between moons, might wanna stay after em.

Definitely been tough figuring them out around here. Hopefully things change soon.

Many variables involved... weather, bait size live or artificial, color, trolling, single poling, ect...the list goes on. Sometimes it's a lot like halftime adjustments, best thing is more time vested OTW trying different approach's till you feel comfortable what works when...keep the luv of the chase as a challenge & things will fall in place before you know it....
