Default Trying to understand Crappie movements

I went fishing on Monday and caught 9 in very shallow water using cork and jig. Next day I go to the same spot and managed to catch only 2. Obviously the fish had moved from shallow water back to deeper water. The daily temperatures were about the same, water temp was around 64 degrees. I'm not real knowledgeable on how fronts and high/low pressure systems affect fish movement.

I have heard that a cold front will send them deep and give them lock jaw. also clear skies will send them deeper. better on an overcast sky.

another good day at the office !

Matter of debate on weather effect/movement = a turned-off bite w/fish still present is a viable argument...most accurately made with scuba gear

Many variables involved... weather, bait size live or artificial, color, trolling, single poling, ect...the list goes on. Sometimes it's a lot like halftime adjustments, best thing is more time vested OTW trying different approach's till you feel comfortable what works when...keep the luv of the chase as a challenge & things will fall in place before you know it....
