Yea, I have a subscription to blue Gabe rig is 30K.
Pretty much typical of how lots of Speck fishing is done at Okeechobee.
I bought one of those B n M Whitey Outlaw rods with no guides, the line runs thru the pole and out the tip.
Works pretty well for that type presentation.
Notice they did move to an area not as thick, so consider some of it for what it is, a boat add.
You can do it pretty well with just regular boats, lots of people do.

Like Danny said, got stuck myself in that South lake a few yrs back, only thing I can add is within the hydrilla mats there were holes maybe 10 ft in diameter & was loaded with smaller 1-2lb bass on the edges....Fox lake does have specks, but very small body of water...

I liked that video. Wouldn’t be interested in the boat. Will most likely purchase one of those rods. What length would you guys recommend. Like the idea of the line going inside the pole. Looks a lot cleaner less to hang up. Can someone recommend a good tackle and bait store on the north end of lake Okeechobee. I noticed he was using a fly fishing real. What is the advantage

Fast Break tackle shop in Okeechobee supposedly carries ACC. Rear reel seat rods have an easier balancing factor when one-poling. I would recommend 10 or 11 footer. The rod tip section replacement(if ever needed) is 20 dollars vs. $30 for 12/13's.
