    Default Glistening Jesup Fish

Last Friday went to test a new Fenwick rod I picked up to jig the bridge, extremely light weight paired w/tiny Pflueger Trion reel, was anxious to feel the thump, but produced only 2 small fish in 2 1/2 hrs, musta hit the 3/32 on the fall as the line only became tight, to know a fish was there. Thought the fish would be in the deeper water due to the recent cold weather, but I guess the shade of the bridge was too much for them=no one home or willing...lol...so broke out the trolling set up & found some in open water, the tree pic produced the best fish of the day, ended w/14 typical 11"-13" Jesup fryers....was a marathon weekend fishing Monroe as well Saturday, because probably won't see water again til 2021...busy next couple weeks coming up over the holidays... will be watching reports though, so make me envious to get back OTW....as for the title, look under the dorsal fin of the fish pic, was the most beautiful purple, blueish-green, silver colors illuminating in the sunlight.Name: IMG_20201211_143943573.jpg

Glad you found them Jeff. I'm done for quite a while. Though I had lower back sciatiac problems. Turns out my doctor here in Va finally sent me for some extensive testing and I have 2 lower disc closing on the nerves of my spine. Going to the surgeon tomorrow go over a plan forward. May not be fishing for quite some time. I will be enjoying reading post ang seeing pictures of those beautiful specks. Merry Christmas everyone.

Don't like hearing of your health issues Vic & missed having a chance to fish with you this year. 2020 is going to be a yr nobody wants to remember & there certainly is no need for any further complications health wise , prayers 2021 brings your aliments to resolve & you get back OTW sooner than expected...
