Any good RV parks with covered boat slips on the North end or East side? My internet search isn't yielding much.

I got here January 2. Severely hurt my back January 3. Just now getting to where I can get around and catch some fish. Been catching between 10 to 20 a day when back allows me to fish. Not exactly my dream vacation. It certainly beats 25 to 35Degrees up north. Laughing all the way to the lake

Sorry to hear about your back watergate. Heading over there Saturday to try our luck. Probably going to launch at Harney Pond but still not 100% sure until I know what the winds are going to be like. Hopefully the full moon this weekend helps with the bite.

Aren't too many slips on the Big O, if you've never been. Most places to stay are outside the levy. KOA is close to the lake, but not on the water, like most other places.
Thanks Northforker thanked you for this post

Buddy had 19 in a couple hours on Wednesday. They're biting if you're where they are. I'm back up north, I was on them pretty good for all of 5 weeks.

Launched out of Harney Pond canal yesterday afternoon and caught 12. Went out towards the Monkey Box and only managed to catch 4 in as many hours of work. Lots of channel cats though. Ran back to the canal just before sunset and caught 8 nice ones in a 30 minute span and called it a day because we weren’t prepared for night fishing. In hindsight we probably should have fished the canal the whole time. Still a beautiful day on the water.
