    Default Night Fishing

Anyone speck fish at night around Dunn's Creek/St. Johns? It seems the only time I'm gonna get to fish this year is at night so I figure I'll try it out. Any pointers would be awesome thanksNight Fishing

May all the fish tales you catch be longer than the ones you tell !

Went Saturday night for my first night trip, tried the bridge at buffalo bluff. Launched at 8:30, I anchored next to the bridge where the bow was in 14' and the stern was in 8'. Caught a small cat, an eel, and 11 specks, most were over 10" with a few 13's in the mix. We had lots of bites, lost a few trying to swing em in, but overall a fun few hrs. Bite shut down at midnight and we picked up and went to the mouth of Dunn's creek where the boat is sunk and tried it there till 1:30. We were in 18' but the current on that outgoing tide was ripping, we only had 2 bites but we caught the 14" fish I'm holding here. Most of the bites were on kentucky rigs on the top hook, bout 2-3' down with minnows. And we caught 7 fish when M.C. Hammer was jamming on the stereo ( just sayin ), so a fast beat seemed to make em bite lol. I also noticed I caught most of my fish on minnows hooked in the tail. Other than that, weather sucked. It rained lightly half the time so we we're lucky I brought the boat with the T-top, but I'm looking forward to trying new places and dialing them fish in.

    Nice catch and post.

good to hear how you are doing. It's fun to learn about other ways that people use to catch their fish.

another good day at the office !
