    Default Good Kinda Raw Thumb

1st & foremost a salute to all Veterans THANKS so much for your service!! Well I challenged the weather guesser's wind forecast & stayed close to home fishing Lake Jesup, don't think the wind got over 10 mph while on the lake, mainly was 7-9 mph consistent...Fished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th spots with (4) fish to show for @ round 11:30, even single poled 1 of the spots, to a big NADA....Was going to call it a morning & decided to troll back to the ramp, starting no more than 75 yds from my 1st spot & started picking up fish, 2 at a time then 3...worked the area a little over an hr & had a limit, while throwing back a fair share...Was no doubt in todays preferred bait, was a white pony head road-runner w/blue body white triple tail in pic below, caught more than 1/2 the fish on 2 poles, was a good bite while it lasted, enjoying the Holiday time off. Final tally (2) 13"ers, 2 rows of 12"ers, & a row of 11"ers, also took pic of calm water at the ramp when launching...til' next time tight-lines all!!

Gulfside conditions were horrible yesterday with overflowing banks, building wind w/rain ended up w/2keeper trout, ladyfish, pinfish.

Nice way to spend the day. Looks like the water has gone down since last time we were there.

Agree with up2specks. Good example of staying persistent and trying to find something that works. Congrats on a fine day.

Wow, it's a great day when your honey holes don't work out and you find some new ones. Nice catch and report Jeff.

Now that's a fine mess of slabs in anyone's book. Way to hang in there and follow the right hunches to put fish in the boat.
