I neglected to specify and recognize our first time sponsor for this event, Bitters Bait and Tackle from Longwood. A 15 minute ride from the park where we held the event on hwy 17-92 just north of 434. Kevin, known to us as Deepfry, saw to it that we had some very good prizes to be given away. Two nice rods and reels, a box of hand tied jigs that anyone would be proud to have, and a gift certificate for 5 dozen minnows. That’s plenty even for a hack like me. Kevin works religiously every Saturday so he wasn’t able to attend, but he was missed. I can only hope he might attend one in the days to come. Ya done good Mister, Thank You so much.

I want to give a big thank you to up2specks (Doug ) and Speck Detector ( Jef ) for providing the fish frying stations, the fish and doing all the fish frying. Thanks to Slab (Ed ) for the prizes. Thanks to Bitter's Bait & Tackle for their contributions for the door prizes. And to everyone that brought all the good food !!

Fishing was rough! Not many made it out, but some nice size did make it to the scale:

First place went to Larry : 1.71 pounds

Second place went to Speck Detector : 1.64 pounds

Third place went to Pontoon Pappy : 1.01 pounds

and again, I want to thank everyone for making this such a fun day

Until next time, tight lines and full nets

    Jim

another good day at the office !

Besides what I've already stated earlier, as the scale used was my former work tool, the certified weights were...1 lb 7.4 ozs, 1 lb 6.4 ozs, and 1 lb .01 ozs. AND more significantly, the Larry, Jeff, Pontoon Pappy name assignments need alignment = Larry, Jeff(who also weighed a 1 lb 6.2 oz. twin), and Pontoon Pappy's granddaughter Sydney!! Yes, with a Y as in "Grandad Y didn't you give me my prize even though I couldn't stay to eat?!"Any slabfest fish pics yet?Any slabfest fish pics yet? This correction(alignment) was offered with no disrespect whatsoever, Jim, great event!

Thanks for the corrections. I was jumping around a lot and didn't remember all the facts. Just wanted to give due credit as best as I can.
