    Default Decent morning on Monroe

With the forecast for a windy day, I probably should have had my head examined to pick lake Monroe as my destination, after all it's been a couple months since darn near getting skunked (last trip there) & Monroe waves are not kind to boaters, as most know....but with recent reports & superb intel from a friend, I thought I would try my luck & was rewarded in doing so...tried some new baits, some orange & larger profile got bit, although no 1 color or type out-shined another...wasn't barn storming #ers, but just stayed steady all morning & left them biting, took home 16....w/9=13"ers & 1 that scatched 14"...just good solid fish...should only get better as the Slabfest approaches, tight lines all!!

I'd have to classify that as a good morning on according to my scale on the quality alone. Great job and I hope to get to FL before the New Year for some of that action.

Btw Jim, went to Jesup Friday & that ramp at Sanford Ave. was open you had asked about, parking lot was full w/overflow parking in grass, don't know what all the excitement was about, only trolled up 8 fish, maybe they're in the reeds at Jesup???

The next question would be, is there anything going on up soldier creek yet. I haven't been back in there in years.
And thank you for the info on the ramp. I may have to make a run over to there and test those waters.

another good day at the office !
