    Default hide and seek

I hit the water nice and early. Les had gotten to the ramp right after I did so we were off to a good start. We made our way to our normal starting spot and put out the rods. We got to watch the sun come up.

We made our first pass and put only one fish in the boat. It looked like the fish may have moved on us. We look around to see if there were any other boats working an area around us. Saw two boats off in the distance in open water. We decided to change our tactics and move out into new areas, we sure weren't doing much here. We expand our search. We were getting some hits, but no hook-ups. We changed our set up. That helped but the fish were on the small side. We move again. Those fish sure are hiding from us today. The lake is like glass this morning, no wind to help move us, or to help keep us cool.

The search was on, but we were finding only one or two fish at a time. Boy, when they hide, they can hide good. But we still got a few.

A couple of them were even of a good size.

Monroe was slow for me too last week. Went from catching lots to slim pickings. My off shore fish disappeared even the gar stopped biting, but that’s a good thing.
