    Default Got Back After It.....

Finishing a busy work schedule that went 19 days straight, I was more than ready to wet a line, however, mother nature threw a few challenges in, with the wind both days Fri. & Sat. limiting the areas of access. Friday about got skunked fishing 3 hrs in the salt, til' messing around in the Haulover Canal when heading back to the ramp & managed to vertical jig up a 4lb. Crevalle Jack, that smoked my light gear tackle drag
as a musical exit song...tossed him back with a thank you for the fight...Then came Saturday that actually,
allowed the wind to lay down for the 1st couple hrs of sunrise, but didn't help out the catching part, however,
when see started to blow, was able to have some luck on the calmer shoreline & put 17 in the boat & missed
my share fighting the wind, crossing lines & all that goes with trolling wind, but hey, I stretch the lines more than enough & although somewhat exhausted (trolled 5 hrs), decided cleaning the mess was out of the question, so they got a pass to swim free...stay safe & get out when you can!!

A good weekend Jeff. I didn’t get out but I sure wanted to. Wind forecasts for the coast kept me home today. I plan on a salty trip next weekend and hope the weather cooperates enough for a few hours to play. 19 days in a row, I’d be downright grumpy.

Nice week end. good catch of fish, even if you had to work at it. I spent the week end working on the boat trailer. I like yours a lot better.

another good day at the office !

Can't complain bout the work situation Tim, as I volunteered to work 2nd shift, due to 1 guy being out w/daughter having covid & other guy had vacation on the books, allowed for straight OT on weekends vs stay overs/ early ins on night shift....been a while since my turn in the barrel, so it's all good, but as a friend noted, gotta make time to smell the roses & fishing does that just fine ....

I’m with ya Jeff. Takin a hit for the other guys, if you’re with a good crew, always come back around. Money in the bank, kinda. OT banks some money for new plastics, like we need more.

See you’re still getting a few specks, that’s good. Going to try and hit the salt with Dave sometime this week or maybe Saturday. I wonder if Monroe will turn on in August like last year. it’s just to dang hot to do much just now.
