BUG OFF!! Spent an enjoyable day on the water, even though the mercury was high and the wind was shy. Only brought 4 short rods(4.5 - 6 footers) but chose 3 methods of attack. Although the most used technique was fan-casting small beetle spins, dock shooting and long-lining caught their share of keepers. Seven lm were released due to an eye anomaly they all shared = Their eyes were too close to their tails! Only two specks were boated with another two finding freedom on the way to the ice bath. No red ears today, except for mine, but a goodly amount of bg, stumpknockers, warmouth, and rock bass. Ended keeping 17 bg with the biggest taping out @9". Watched a fella in an 8' kayak adeptly using his buggy whip to fool both bluegills and shellies. This body of water has the coolest black-breasted, black-finned male blue gills I have ever seen. I could easily tell their gender because of their excitement level when I touched them. One gator was practicing safe distancing. Lastly, after providing a 6 foot landing strip for horse flies, mosquitos and swarms of gnats/blind mosquitos, I periodically wore my new mosquito netting suit(gloves too) when needed. Worked so well, I think I heard the horseflies sobbing, which "suited" me just fine! Enjoy the pics-

When I lived in Miami I always liked it when the gators practiced social distancing. Congrats

Nice feesh, great pics, thanks for sharing. And yeah, I hate being a landing strip for skeeters, and especially yellow flies.

Great fish, but I hate the flies and bugs, gators are O.K as long as they keep the distance. Congrats
