    Default tried something different

I heard that the shad were running in the river. So I hit the river before the sun was up and started to look for them. I found them bunched up in the Wekiva river. Two throws of the cast net over filled my bait tank. I moved to my secret spot and anchored up. I put the first rod out and it wasn't long before the rod bent over in the rod holder. Fish On !! I tried working two rods but it got to be too much for me. I had two fish on at the same time more than once. I went to just one rod. By 8:30 am the action was over. I pulled up the anchors and headed in.

Have to check with the boss and see what’s going on in the upcoming weekends. I’d like to get my line stretched.

I didn't have a scale with me, so I didn't get a weight. But he was big and fat and liked to jump !
