    Default Double Dip

Remember all them WINDY weekends in January, February, & early March....well were getting payback with awesome weather lately, so went out to Jesup Friday afternoon w/moderate west wind & everything was chewing, Gars, Cat's, & oh yeah, Specks...then returned w/completely different conditions this morning w/slightest of breeze from the east & fog at 6:30 & 71F degree surface water temp. for May, however, by noon registered 78F, could of slept in because didn't have a fish til 8:30, then they woke up in a big way, don't know how long it will last, but I'll take it....usually I'm in the Salt by now..... ready/prepared for a meat shortage......Blue/chart, Parrot, Blue/white, Pink/chart colors all working, hope your able to stretch a line or 2 yourself.....

Wow, you are on fire Jeff. Hope to get out this week on Wednesday. We are having the winds like you said. Been windy all of March and April. Great catch the last several trips. Our water temps still around 60 to 64. Thanks for the pics and post.

Yep Doug, Tried & True...L/L, last week at the ramp I talked to a guy that was fishing the bridge & asked how he did, said he limited-out....I tried 4 different spots/multiple colors at the bridge, maybe 15 rows of pilings to catch 1 catfish, just don't have the patience to single pole w/results like that & when I do catch fish there & on the banks, they aren't the size I've been finding in open water....just have better luck L/L...ing

1.3 mph is a starting point for me, I'll never go below 1.0 or higher than 1.7, depending on the water body depth or current will determine how far back behind the boat I'll place the baits.....then "luck" will result in how successful a trip is...too answer directly for Jesup 1.2-1.4 has been a good speed....

Slab city!! The weather has been really nice for Speck fishing this Spring. With the HOT springs the past few years, I'm usually concentrating more on the 'gils by now. I'm really enjoying the longer Speck season this year. Thanks for the post and pics!
