I live very close to the Indian River Lagoon system which has nice free launch areas including good fish cleaning stations with running water.
Within minits you will be surrounded by Pelicans and other large birds begging for a free meal.
Almost more fun than the catching is feeding the birds.
You need to be watching your filets however as they tend to get aggressive at times.

Bring to a nearby river lake or pond dispose in the water and what the turtles don't finish the birds bring a shore the insects will complete
crappie down !
I take mine to the garden or put them in local farm fields.

The freezer works best but If trash day is not too far away, I keep mine on ice in a cooler. Bagged up of course.
