    a friend of mine lives in panama city area. me in s.w. ga. looking for a place to meet for some bream, crappie, bass fishing. is there a public boat ramp at compass lake? also checking out ocheesee pond. is there any other small lakes with public ramps a guy could check out? thank you

    Hopefully someone familiar with that area will chime in and help you. good luck otherwise, look for pock marks on fish finder for nearby brim, weedbeds for crappie and bass....imho

    We fished ocheesee pond about 2 weeks ago. Caught 17 nice crappie out of there. If you bream fish there make sure to use the lightest tackle you can bc they are very spooky. The crappie aren’t as spooky. If you’ve never been there put a gps mark on your depth finder or phone at the boat ramp bc you will get lost if not familiar with it, everything looks the same. Nothing but cypress trees.
