    Default Fl. boat reg.

Does a 10' pond prowler with a trolling motor require boat registration if used on public lakes/river?

If motorized and on public waters, yes

Yes, as far as I know anything that moves the boat is motorized except a paddle

I didn't think trolling motor counted but after I put one on my canoe I was warned not to be on the water again with it unless the boat had registration

    FLORIDA BOAT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

    • All vessels used on public waterways with any kind of motor must be titled and registered.
    • The purchaser of a new vessel has 30 days in which to apply for registration and title through the county tax collector's office.
    • If the non-motor powered vessel is less than 16 feet in length, it is not required to be registered or titled.

Thanks for the info. Guess I better go to the DMV and give them some money.
