Sorry I missed you John thought the wind was up on main lake and the fish weren't taking part, good to see you got a meal and a few pulls. I nearly smelled skunk and left early.--shu

I'm wondering, though ... from the pics I see many of the jigs barely hooked in the lips of the fish, could that be from too high of a trolling speed ?? Or could it be from less than aggressive fish ?? I can see where hooking them there would allow some to get off the hook if not quickly netted or yanked into the boat from a distance.
Looks like some are starting to get their tuxedos on and get ready for the "big dance"
My feelings on that one is...probably, maybe, could be, who really knows = color/size profile may not be "dialed in"- yielding tentativlty!??

I fished Monday after work and had a bunch of fish that bowed the rod but came unbuttoned. I attributed it to short strikes/them not being aggressive. Had to keep moving and jogging the boat while spider rigging, they weren't eating unless I was moving.

Interesting observation that the boat had to be rocking otherwise you didn't get bit. Thanks for sharing. Might have to rock the boat more often.
