    Default St. John's Jurassic Jewels

    Had an enjoyable single-pole float/fly day using hand-tied 1/48 jigs(untipped/undipped) on 5' ultralight spinning sticks Friday on St. Johns. Big seven weighed 9lb 7.5 ozs w/biggest 4 up to 15" weighing 1 13.5, 1 13, 1 11, 1 6. Studs-a-fire on skinny tackle w/4 lb mono.
Thanks for checkin on me- enjoy pics...

Some very nice fish there. Couple of good dinners too. That float and fly is great fun when it’s working.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

Nice out Doug, with all the recent talk of the spawn, maybe I've paid a little closer attention , but have noticed the widespread timing of many different areas all experiencing the same conditions throughout central Florida, hope this accounts for a good spawn...

Not sure how I missed this thread. But St Johns fish are something else. Real beautiful fish for sure. Jurassic.
