    Thumbs up 2 Pigs

This is a little different, and more appropriate, post for this forum, from my other pigs thread.

We had a great day fishing this morning on Griffin. Caught these two pigs.

Did't notice that the same PICO jig was in it's mouth at the time of the pics. We had an assortment on and all seemed to produce. One of these two crappie was 13 inches, and the other was roughly 12.9 inches long. Great day on some nice calm waters. Longlining at 1 mph just off the bottom in 5-6 ft water. Did I mention we used Slabsauce. No minners died. And even better, we released all the Crappie too. Caught a ton, was a ton-o-fun.

Notice the smile is bigger in the second pic as the fishing continued to "rock on".

That’s the look of a happy man, good job boss! Some nice fish.

I asked for Wednesday off so I could join y’all. Not sure he’s stopped laughing yet. 2 out of 10 drivers out on vacation already shot me down quick and hard. Y’all have fun and take pics.

I like those pigs more, easier to handle & better tasting.

The other piggies are a nuisance choot 'em all
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

IMHO the darker one was hanging around in shallower and perhaps more clear water. The clearer the water, the darker the crappie. Having said that, it would be a good guess that the dark and torn tail one (protecting nest) is a male, and the lighter one, only going to the shallows briefly to lay eggs, would be a female. but I'm certainly no expert.
