    Default St. John's/ Murphy Creek

Fished a few hrs this morning starting at browns landing pushing up current, picked up one in 45 minutes. Left there and hit a stretch by Buffalo bluff and caught 6 in an hour. We had a bunch of Gar follow us the length of that bank and they kept hitting our bigger jigs and creating tangles and chaos, but we also caught a nice 3-4 pound bass that made up for it. Wind picked up and between that and the stiff current made it hard to stay on the productive areas, so we pushed up into Murphy Creek for an hour and caught one small guy right before we picked up. Tried one more spot on the way back to the ramp and caught a decent one, but once again the wind and current had the Sea Pro cartwheeling down the river way too fast so I called it at noon.Name: Snapchat-1263590259.jpg

All fish were caught in 10-15 fow , most of them hit the baits close to the bottom. Pink or red jigs tipped with minnows were getting the bites

Glad you got on some!!!... Me and a buddy from Maine went up for the day Saturday on an impromptu trip, wind was atrocious. we hit the north side down form Browns Landing, went with the wind to Buzzard island, only 2 Bowfin... tried another spot on some pilings where we had fish, wouldn't bite and couldn't stay on them wind was so bad so we left river.. Went into the creek, tried some timber and pads, and even tried bream and nothing.. We spoke to 4 or 5 different boats, nobody was having luck
