Default Jesup gave up some good fish

Started off overcast with the full Moon providing a better pic then the absence of the Sun. Went to a area that produced last time out, but no one was home. The weather man called for wind to be out of the SE up to 18 mph, really didn't pick up til 9, but luck would have it, sent me to an area I've never considered in the past, sheltered somewhat from the wind & the rods started bending hard ...was some of the best size fish I've found on Jesup in a long time, 14 went 13" & a prize 14 1/2"er that might just be my PB for Jesup ... can't ever recall catching a 15"+ there....out in open water again, a lot of boats were on the banks, but several back at the ramp said catching was tough, a combo blue/white paddle tail 16th jig with a 32nd road runner trailer seen the most action & parrot color curly tail wasn't to shabby as well, left them biting & tried to throw back as many belly Buster's to do their thing, turned out 21 of the limit were males. Also wanted to pass along, needed a couple new spinning reels & found at Academy Shimono FX 1000, that are extremely smooth w/ good drag on sale for $20 each....tightlines all!!Name: IMG_20200111_071738356.jpg

Looks like you got a load of golden crispy's. Would love venture out into lake jessup but I have a kayak not a boat. Will have to see if I have the balls to go out there with all those gators in there. Been cravin' those tasty critters latley but this weather fluctuates way to much. Ready for there spawn to happen.

This time of year , no. You can't go anywhere or do anything in Florida without congestion and entitlement attitudes.
