    Default Lake Harris

Made the short drive from Astor to Lake Harris, fishing the pads with jigs tipped with Berkley alive minnows and Slabsauce. We did a little better until the wind got crazy, this time I drew first blood but Miss Vickie held her own.

We fished several years ago but yes yesterday was the first time on the water. All the fish were males, getting the beds ready for the fat chicks, they must still be in the deeper water.

Good job on a new lake. I need to get out this weekend and play with something different myself. Great pics.

They just put a 10" limit on their crappies on Griffin I was told by the man that drives the boat around taking the survey

Really great job for first time this year on Harris. Keep up the good work. Slabsauce rocks.

And yeah. I pretty much stay on the south end of griffin. Just too easy for me. IMHO griffin fishes different than most the other lakes on the Harris chain. Similar but different.
