    Default testing , day two

I got up at 6am, and I made it out of the house without waking the wife. My truck said that it was 51 deg out.

I get to the ramp and it is active, not busy like it was on Friday. I launch and park the truck. One of the other boats call out and asked how I did on Friday. ( he said that he didn't find any keepers. Only a few small ones ) ( maybe I didn't do as bad as I thought I did )

The fog is just lifting off the lake as I motor out to the sign and my starting point . There are 4 boats setting up in the area.

The wind is dead calm. The water temp is 63 deg. It is a beautiful morning. I set the rods. I get my coffee and I set back to enjoy the sun raise. A rod goes off. Fish on, skunk off. and It's a keeper. I sit back down and grab my coffee cup. I see the boat next to me bend a rod. This is going to be a good morning.

I make my first pass and turn to go back over the area. I'm the only one left in the area. I was doing a slow troll this morning and the other boats were passing me by. On the return trip I do pick up another keeper to add to the box. Things have slowed and I start to play with the set up. Different colors, different depths. I swing wide to move further out into the lake. Then I circle back moving in closer to the shore. Nothing is seeming to work. I had only one rod that caught more than one fish. No pattern this time. I look around and I'm all by myself. I point the boat towards the ramp.

When I got back to the ramp, the parking lot was almost empty. Today I tested some ideas. I had a quiet day to work with and learned a few things. I think some more testing may be needed yet.

It was a pretty day. I wanted to go bad but the boss had me. Two good meals and home early works for me.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

I think testing is another way of saying. I’m going fishing. Good lucks with your testing. Hope your wife is buying this.
