SlabQueen, I'm glad to hear that you won the jigs. I thank you for the kind words. Tim and I have been friends for a good many years. He is my mentor in jig tying. We bounce ideas off each other a lot and I took great pleasure in adding to the prize list. I don't know if Tim told you, I have Parkinson's and started tying to keep sensation and strength in my right hand. It means a great deal to me when someone likes my work. I hope you catch some good fish on them and if you like one better, I can make you some more. Best of luck. Sam

I couldn't fish cause my boat motor overheated just this week, and a quick fix thermostat replacement did not fix it (even though when I pulled the thermostat completely out, the motor ran fine and did not overheat, strange)![/QUOTE]

Fishing was steady in our boat, somewhere around 35-40, w/maybe 17 in the livewell over 11", thus a fair share of throwbacks, was great to fish with an old friend again who who incidentally caught our largest, a shake under 14", but wouldn't of matched Bryan's or Tanner's fish Congrat's Gents, GREAT to see the young man take Prize w/memory to match, we didn't weigh, but donated to the Phantom Foundation, this Danny fellow said something about it "donate" being a Slabfest Tradition..LOL..Great to see ya Danny, just need to get the HI/LOW partners back on the water at the same time...couple more pics..Phil w/best fish & a beautiful Sunrise that set the stage for things to come...Thanks again Tim for putting this together...

Indeed it was a beautiful morning, I saw it coming (watching the weather reports etc ) ...
However we only got six keepers, the old OPP hole just didn't pay off this time = guess I got to find a new hole .....

Congrats on an awesome fest Tim. From the pics and comments it must have been a large time. I try to attend a few fest's every year and hope to make it back there again. I sure regret not being there to meet and hug Linda, and to eat some of that cake. Thanks, Slab for such a great sight. "D"
