Max and Pepper have been to a few Slabfests across the country before. They've seen the routine, mooch food, mooch water, look like you need to be petted! You know, same thing Abbey did, she prolly went to a hundred events. I'm glad I brought them.

You know what, I did not hear how many fish everyone caught? How'd you all do. Did I miss anything. I couldn't fish cause my boat motor overheated just this week, and a quick fix thermostat replacement did not fix it (even though when I pulled the thermostat completely out, the motor ran fine and did not overheat, strange)!

Catch 22...but, wait, hold the phone, stop the music, not so fast mister!!! This was a big fish competition, I was specifically fishing for biggest lake fish!!...this IS Florida = I want a recount!!

Great job Tim and helpers. It was good see some old faces and meet some new ones. Food was super good and I'm sure everyone got their fill. Thanks again Tim for taking charge and having a great successful slab fest. Also thank you slab for running a great organization.

I didn’t hear much about numbers either. I usually count noses at some point and see how many attended but I was barely keeping up with my duties and didn’t get a count, did anyone count? I’m going through the pics and I believe we were close to or over 35 to 40. That was about what I figured and real close to last year.

Another extra big thanks goes to everyone that helped us put the thawed fish to use. We had many folks step up and supply the main course and some that were thawed didn’t get cooked. I was happy to hear that they all had a place in someone’s skillet before we all parted ways.

Yes Tim- what an added bonus = already cleaned crappie filets for the folks in attendance to return home & cook up!! My partner was even given a "no need to return" cooler for his twin bags of filets/ice by the event organizer = YOU...he and I both thank you for your generosity.

Looks like a great event, good food, good friends, good fishing and even dancing girls for Billbob's recovery. Glad to have made a small contribution to what looked like an outstanding prize selection. Could become an annual event with that level of organization.

It was a wonderful Slabfest and thank you very much. Wonderful to meet the new members and put a face with a name, and great to see our regulars. As most know i missed fishing much last year for the first time in my history, due to health and fighting st johns water management in between.
