Looks like a successful day of experimenting.

Got up early on Wednesday morning, got coffee in the thermos, snacks in the cooler and hooked up the boat to the truck. Went into the house to say bye to the wife and the phone rang. Our granddaughter was in town with her boyfriend and wanted to know if we would like to meet for breakfast ?? The boat goes back in the garage.
Thursday morning I get up and see that everything is all set up already. So I hook up the boat to the truck and head out. I get to the ramp around 7 and there are boats out working the sign line. I launch and head out.
I have a new set up I want to try out for trolling / long lining. I start to put the rods out and my first rod ( the crank bait rod ) goes off. Fish on , skunk off. It's small , so back it goes. It's a little bit choppy , more so than I expected from the forecast, but still doable.
I am trying to better control my depth off of my bobbers. The new set up started to work. With two rods going off at the same time more than once.
A lot of the fish were running on the small to medium size ( all getting to fight another day). BUT I did get a few that I got to give a ride home to.
The new set up has promise, but I will have to give it some more testing to be sure.
See you on the water.
Jim
