The Harris chain Restoration Council appointed by the legislature in 2001 has been our biggest friend in the fight to fix lake apopka sediment from polluting our canals and the harris chain . It became noted on oct 31 that someone had put a bill before the legislature to do away with this council
( waterway wars are hell)
I made up my mind that this great council did not deserve this sooo I packed my bag and went to Tallahassee to the capital to see what brilliant person had done this. Told jim what i thought right in his 2nd floor office.
Spoke before the senate on their behalf. Spoke before the house. Table had already been set before I hot there. Nevertheless I wasn't the only unhappy person so the bill is lingering in a lost kinda file for right now. Went to the senator today.i think this counts for a lot of good deed points as it was for the lakes afterall.
