    Default Rod Holders

I have been looking at different rod holders for longlinning. Have thought about getting the Millennium or Drift Masters rod holders. Does anyone have them. What is your opinion of them? Thanks for the advice.

I use the Driftmaster. Not cheap but very versatile. By installing the base piece in multiple locations, bow and stern, you can then change from long lining one day to tight lining the next. I suggest the "Pro" series. Very sturdy. Good luck.

Very sturdy and well built. David Baynard, the owner will customize stuff too, if you need it. Support those that support us. Make your own decision of course, but just thought I'd throw that out there. Thanks for listening.

Millennium Hi-Tek Cumberland Crappie all make excellent holders. All three are members of this board . Cant go wrong with any of these holders.

I run Driftmasters. No problem with them at all.

All above mentioned are good quality rod holders.
Rod tip height above the water can vary considerably however depending on rod length, boat design, and how they are installed.
Driftmasters are not adjustable for tip height unless they are used with a rail mount setup.
I use those on the bow of my boats and adjust tip height by just pushing/pulling the holder which works fine.
On my new Jon boat i made my own rail setup by using 3/4” copper tubing painted to match the boat color.
On the rear i could do the same, but the rail mounts alone are kinda pricey.
So I’ve been experimenting with the PVC holders which can be bought for about $4 each and are adjustable for all directions.
I have less than $75 invested in 10 of them including all the other required material, which gives me 5 on each side.
The whole thing is removed with 2 wing nuts on each side.
So far I’m pleasantly surprised with the results.
