Looking good! But, whenever it's below 20mph we consider it calm here in Oklahoma.

I think I have completely lost it. Last night with 10 mph winds I talked myself into going fishing with the thoughts that I could get on the calmer side of the lake and the winds were supposed to calm down. My desire to fish overrode my common sense. After slowly cruising to the other side of the lake as to not beat myself or my equipment , dropped anchor and starting to put some minnows out. Got 3 rods out and see a line twitch, set the hook on a nice 1lb 9oz slab. So now I have lost all common sense and get everything set up. Had to drop the 2nd anchor to keep the boat into the wind. Catch my breath and the wind hits me and reminds me that with my abused bones I have to wear long johns when the temperature is below bout 70. I tuffed it out and came home with 11 nice ones out of apx 30 fish. Guess the full moon doesn't bother the bite after a cold front. Maybe my wimpy shivering old bones enticed the bite.

Only takes 1 good'n to get the juices flowing for the next bite, don't mind drifting w/wind, if I had minnows, but trolling is a different story=#1 nemesis of a troller...nice catch under the conditions

My desire to go has been strong for a couple of weeks. Just have other things that I have to get done before I go. I could go but would not be able to relax and enjoy things the way we’re supposed to. Soon enough my list will be in the rear view. Glad you got out Rob, catching 30 or so is a good trip in my book.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around

I usually try to go about dark and try to call it by midnight unless of course I am having too much fun catching.
