Thread: first one there

I got up early. I was the first one to the parking lot and the first one in the water. I headed out to my happy hunting grounds that have been doing well for me. I even beat the sun this time.


It wasn't long before I see two other boats headed in my direction. They set up closer inland that I'm set up. The water is starting to cool down some, so the fish may be starting to move in closer. We'll have to keep an eye on things and see how it goes. I have a cup of coffee.

I doesn't take long and a rod bends. Fish on, Skunk off. It's a nice size fish. I think I'll stay out here for awhile. I make my pass and start to head back the way I came. The action has been slow but steady. It's a mixed bag to day with more going back in the lake than going into the box. I think I'll see how the other boats are doing.. ( They're gone ! ) . I think I'll stay here.

I work the area again and thinks are definitely slowing down, but the wind is picking up. I look at my fish counter and see two good meals are in the box. I decide to head in.



I ended up keeping 6 nice size ones. After cleaning them it proved to be enough for 3 meals. One for tonight and 2 for later.
