Thread: not one of my better days

I thought that I would go do a little rod bending yesterday. It started out with me over sleeping, so I was off to a late start. When I got to the ramp there were still a few spots left in the lot. That was good !

As I headed out into the lake I saw at least 6 boats working the area. I usually have this part of the lake to myself. I thought that I would start out in my normally "hot" spot and if need be, join the crowd.

I set up and got my coffee out. No action ! I change out some of the tails to see if the would work. I finish my second cup of coffee. I decide to join the crowd. I look up and don't see anyone. They all left !

By this time the wind is starting to pick up a little. I make the adjustment for the new conditions. I head for different water to see if I can find them. ( the fish that is ) . Still not doing good. I point the bow towards the ramp. Its going to be an early day.

By the time I get to the ramp , I am the only car left in the lot. But on the good side, I did manage to boat 3 keepers. That's a meal.

Nice going, a meal is better than nothing.
