I really enjoyed meeting other members last year and had a great time, but will be unable to attend an event on Nov. 23 as it is opening of hunting season for those of us drawn for zone “B”. Everyone have a great time and maybe I won’t have prior plans on the date of the next one.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

Sorry I didn’t nail it down for the location earlier. I’m going with Monroe for a few reasons. If the wind gets up folks can still fish the river and do well. Plus there’s multiple pavilions and there was plenty of room and seating for everyone last time there. I don’t plan on fishing, my OCD would drive me nuts not making sure that everything was attended to. I’m hoping to get out and add to my stockpile of fresh fillets. I’m going to use Louisiana seasoned breading which has a little heat to it. If there are those that don’t do the heat please let me know so I can get some unseasoned breading. Also, if anyone has a recipe of home made cole slaw, I haven’t had any offer for that yet and I think most folks like a good cole slaw. I’m going to put pen to paper and make a list of who’s good for what and will post it when I do. Easier to fill in the blanks and not double up too much. I also will have access to an ice machine close by so that’s not an issue. Thanks for all the input, it sure helps.

Budman, be glad to have you join in with us. Good fishing there most times. Long lines curl tails works well.

Looking forward to seeing both Howard and Vic and their better halves, both of you have been MIA for a while now.

Rob, looking forward to meeting you and thanks for your offer.

Doug, hopefully no tows this year, but I’m sure someone will stand up to the task as we always do.

Tim, I will be glad to help you set up and get things going. Paula said that she would provide two pans of slaw, ( one cole slaw and one of brocolli slaw ) and a pan of baked beans . I'll be able to help out with some fillets . I also have a big igloo 162 qt cooler that I could bring for holding ice and drinks.

I would be glad to help you out where I can, just let me know.

    Jim

My better half and I will also be available to help with set up and operations as I am not dragging the boat up. Tina is talking about bringing corn cassarole. I will also be glad to provide some of my stockpile as I am starting to replenish it now.

Speckled Slab, glad to hear you got a ticket. Maybe we’ll hear you hollerin BROWN DOWN by days end. Good luck.

Thank You and Paula too Jim, that will help a lot. Sounds like a good spread so far.

Rob, the casserole and fillets will also help. Jeff had said that about 3 fillets a person should do fine. Hopefully we can have enough without emptying anyone’s freezer but mine.

John, didn’t know you were down. Glad to hear you’re feeling better, looking forward to seeing you. Wondered where you had gotten off to.

I spoke with the attendant at the park this morning and he gave me the info for who to call for a reservation. Want to make sure before too much longer that the pavilion is ours for the day. Ill keep you posted and y’all keep your fingers crossed.

I reserved the pavilion today. We have the big pavilion from 12 to 5 and at this time I don’t believe anyone has it for the morning. Process for that was easier than I expected. I thought today of what happens if the weather goes south. At this point, I would say to reschedule after the first of the year. With the holidays and family time, which is more important than what we have going on, would take first priority. Going to try to get a list together by Wednesday for who’s coming and what is being brought.
