So my wife and I went to the beach. Dr. Said, a little salt is good for me.
Using lures only was having fun catching lady fish. Then when I least expected it WHAM and it was fish on!

Really nice fish and a pleasant surprise for sure. A little salt never hurt anyone.

Nice, did you not have a snook stamp to keep that one. Top of slot fish.

    Hey Mike,

Catch and release on vacation and no stamp. I also thought they had closed the season on Snook on the Gulf in this area until sometime in 2020? I could be wrong??

No I believe you are correct. Just wasnt thinking about it. I have yet to catch one in slot and in season. We caught 4 this this morning and all just under slot. Trips to Stuart have produced all over slot. Trip to Sanibel, all over slot. We have caught well over 50 this year in Volusia county and 3 over slot and rest under slot. Patiently waiting to get one in the magical zone.

Sounds like you have been having a lot of fun in the Salt. Just a matter of time before you get your slot keeper.

You are right Doug, if you don't need a license you don't need a stamp. Been a long time since I've had some grilled Robalo.
