Lake Monroe with my son
My son Scott came down from Ohio for a visit. One of the things on his list of todo's was to do some crappie fishing. We hit the lake on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I think we spent more time talking than fishing but we still managed to bend the rods some.
We started out on Tuesday with 9 slabs taking the ride home for dinner. Scott was not used to seeing 12 to 14 inch crappies . But it didn't take him long to learn how to throw the 8 inchers back.
On Wednesday we out did ourselves and kept 14 slabs for the ride home.
Thursday things slowed down and we only put 4 keepers in the box.
